A very well known Wali Allah has been quoted in different books. According to him 7 things destroys the wealth of a miser:

1. He will die, and his wealth will be used for bad deeds by his children.
2. He will either be given in to the custody of a cruel person, who will take all his wealth and degrade him.
3. He will spend all his wealth for his never ending needs and wants.
4. He will spend his wealth in building big houses.
5. He wealth will destroy through natural calamities like flood, storm, fire etc.
6. His wealth will be used to treat his own diseases.
7. He will bury his wealth to save them, but he will forget it and will die poor.
